How does 4G work?

4G is ideal for services that demand more capacity such as music streaming, HD video conference calls, mapping, and social networking sites. The data transfer speed of 4G is 10 times faster than 3G, which means no more restless buffering waits, annoying dropped calls, and stagnant video calls.

4G operates on the 800/1800/2600MHz band. The frequency is comparatively higher than 2G and 3G. This enables 4G to transmit higher data traffic, while on the other hand, travel shorter distance. Despite that, all you need is a booster to amplify your 4G and you are ready to stream HD!

Which booster should I get?

The booster size you need comes down to two important factors: 
a) Outdoor signal strength: Stronger outdoor signal reception of your location offers more signal input to the booster, enabling the booster to cover larger indoor areas. For users in rural areas where 3G is yet to be covered (0-2 signal bars), it is recommended to install a Parabolic Antenna beforehand. A parabolic antenna can pick up network signals from base station that is located at a relatively farther distance, up to 30km. The booster then collects the outdoor signal and amplify it indoor. 
b) Obstructions: Open-plan houses tend to receive higher signal coverage, as compared to houses with multiple partition walls. Signals are weakened as they pass through walls, you may need a booster with stronger output power to enhance the indoor coverage.
